I Tried AI Newborn Photography And Was Shocked By What I Discovered

As a DIY mom who’s on a budget, I couldn’t wait to DIY my daughter’s photoshoots when she was born. I thrifted a bunch of photo props, prepared a photo dropcloth (a bedsheet) in a dedicated corner of the house, and set up some lighting to create a DIY baby photo studio. But the realities of caring for a newborn hit immediately. Every time I attempted a photoshoot, something got in the way and made it really difficult. She’d spit up on the special newborn outfit I’d picked out for the occasion. She’d fuss and whine and move so much that every photo was blurry. She’d have a blowout during the photoshoot, soiling my photo background while also distorting her face so I couldn’t get a cute photo. It was so hard to get a good photo I barely used any of the props I’d bought.

After the next feeding as I burped my daughter over my shoulder, I gave it a try. All I had to do was upload a few photos of her face, and it would do the rest of the work for me.

It turned my fussy colicky newborn into this angelic baby girl. Never in my wildest dreams would I have been able to capture this photo in real life. The AI photos turned out so realistic! Yes there were a few duds but I found enough amazing photos that I’m obsessed with.
Needless to say, I haven’t attempted many DIY photoshoots since the newborn era. Now that my girl is a few months old, I continue to experiment with other AI photoshoot styles and have not been disappointed. I can’t wait to use AI photography for her first birthday party, to create custom personalized birthday invites, print custom plates and napkins, and wall art of my baby girl.
