How to Do It:

Turn Baby to Face You: Rotate the car seat such that baby is facing you.
Loop Through Elbow: Loop your arm through the handle such that it rests in the crook of your elbow.
Turn Palm Outward: This step is key albeit unintuitive. On the arm that’s holding the car seat, rotate your palm to face outward and grab the outer edge of the car seat.
