How to Put Your Baby in a Pumpkin for Cute Halloween Photos
Taking photos of your baby in pumpkin is a fun and festive idea that moms adore for baby’s first Halloween. Here’s how to get those cute pumpkin baby pictures:
Materials Needed:
Large pumpkin
Carving tools
Steps:
Choose a Large Pumpkin: Select a large pumpkin that can comfortably fit your baby’s lower body with extra space. When in doubt, get a pumpkin that looks much too large. Many moms are surprised when they can’t comfortably squeeze baby into the pumpkin leg holes.
Carve the Pumpkin:
Cut the top off and hollow out the inside.
Carve out leg holes near the bottom, making sure they are smooth and large enough for your baby’s legs.
Dress Your Baby: Dress your baby in a cute Halloween outfit. Naked babies tend to fuss when they’re made to sit in slimy cold pumpkins, so giving them a layer of clothing is key.
Place Your Baby in the Pumpkin:
Gently lower your baby into the pumpkin, gently guiding their legs go through the leg holes. If it’s hard to get baby in, remove baby and expand those leg holes with your carving tools
Make sure your baby is comfortable and supported so baby doesn’t topple over, before you grab your phone to snap pics!
